This is a Canadian Red Cross course & will provide participants with a comprehensive two-day course offering First Aid and Adult & Child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. This program will also include training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), Opioid Poisoning and how to administer Intranasal Naloxone (Nasal Spray). Note that the Red Cross has changed the course name from Standard First Aid to Intermediate First Aid.
Note: Employers MUST provide workers with additional equipment/workplace training on the workplace policies/procedures and on equipment that they will be using.
